This is the first post! Admittedly, this trip happened in July 2017 but I didn’t have a blog at that time, nor did I even commit a lot of time to my vlog – Juliusxx @ Youtube. So the next few posts will be recollecting a trip that happened a year ago and playing a lot of catch up – but we’ll get there! I promise.
Now onto the trip. I was initially planning on going to Europe alone but ended up getting a little overwhelmed by all the of the planning. Around the same time, my friend said, “Hey, do you want to go to Peru? I’ll plan it – just give me the money.” It was an offer I couldn’t resist. $3000 later, I was ready and set to go to Peru with G Adventures.
One of the things that really interested me in Peru is Machu Picchu. I’ve read that they’re planning on closing off Machu Picchu because travellers are ruining the architecture and to preserve it, they will eventually close it off to visitors.
Day 1 was interesting as it’s the first time I’ve ever travelled outside of North America. I was like a kid at a candy store with this experience once we landed in Peru. The traffic was insane but that didn’t dampen my spirits. Also, not having a safe in the hotel room still didn’t wig me out. Check it out!
